max was playing to basketball, shooting the hoops, and missing most of them. he was listening to his music very loud and wasnt much paying attention, mostly just thinking.

Raven was completely confused. At one point she was walking down a street that she could have sworn was the way to the academy but now she was standing by a basketball court. There was a boy there throwing the ball aimlessly at the hoop listening to music loud enough for my ears to catch the rhythm. Raven thought about asking him for directions but then decided she was once again to shy to ask. After deciding this she walked across the court to a tree and climbed up the first few branches to think. Thinking was one of the few things raven enjoyed. Especially when the wind would whisper through the tree she had climbed soothing raven with a whispy lullaby.

onece again the ball bounced off of the rim and rolled across the court. max turned around to get it. when he did he saw a dog in a tree. "well how the hell did that dog get up in that tree?" said max mostly to himself, but there apeared to be a reaction from the dog. max looked closer and discovered that it was actually a person, but with ears and a tail. "hi" said (actually shouted, because of his music) max trying to decide if a dog in a tree was weirder that this. "who are you?" he asked, taking the earbuds out and taking a step back, and preparing to use himself as a weapon.

Raven sat in the tree for a minute. Then she heard someone shout a greeting. At first raven ignored the shout thinking it was for someone els then her ears pricked back up as the voice shouted again. This is when raven realized that the boy who was listening to music was talking to her. She watched as he took a step back. He looked as if he were preparing for a fight and he was serious. " oh no wait a second I.. Im not, " and that was all raven could say before she moved off her branch and fell out of the tree, landing square on her back. Raven let out a large pained yelp. She didn't mean to scare the boy. What had she done to provoke him? Dazed and still confused raven sat there, her head spinning.

the person/dog fell out of the tree and yelled. 'oh i think i scared her' thought max. he walked over to her. she was lieing on her back, seemingly in pain. . "are you ok?" asked max with a concerned look on his face, as he offered her a hand to help her up.

The boy came over to raven and asked if She was ok. The problem was I was to shy to say anything so Ravenjust sat there trying to speak which never ended up working for her. Her ears began to twitch and her tail lashed bal and forth becoming frizzy

the person didnt respond. max then asked again. there was no reaction. her mouth was was moving, but no words were coming out, her tail and ears were twitching. max took her hand and helped her up. "im max, whats your name?" said max thinking she might be in shock from the fall. "can you talk?" said max with concern.

Finally raven forced herself to speak. " uhh yes I... I can speak its just that I well that is I... Raven." that was all she could say she was completely embarrased

"dont worry, i dont bite, though im not sure about you" said max, trying to make the stranger fell comfortable by making a joke. "max liked dogs, and so he decided to try scratching the girl behind the ear. it always worked on his dog, and it wasnt like this could get any weirder, so why not.

The boy tried to make a joke. It was clever but raven was to shy to laugh. Then he started scratching her behind the ear. Nobody had done that For years and She smiled a little for the first time since she could remember. Then raven let out a small little sneeze that sounded like a sneeze that belonged to a wolf pup. ' oops' she thought.

the scratching made the girl smile. max thought that she probably wasnt hurt, just very shy. he knew how she felt, he was fairly shy himself, but only till he got to know people. he got the girl to sit on a bench, and he sat next to her, and just started talking about himself, he hoped that sh would start to get less shy. he randomly remembered that a friend had once said girls dont fall out of trees. if only they knew how wrong they were in this instance.

He lead raven over to a bench and began talking about himself. She wondered why he was doing this so then she took in all her will and said " thank you for helping me." that made her head spin even more. What was he going to say now? All she could do was hope for the best

"no problem." said max. he started scratching her behind the ear again. "look dont be afraid, im a fairly shy person too ok. also may i ask what you were doing in a tree watching me?" said max, trying not to scare the person.

He began scratching raven behind the ears again. He asked her what she was watching him for. " was I watching you? Uh I'm sorry I didnt know I was watching you. I just like to be in trees and that one just seemed highest so I climbed so I could think" raven quickly replied to him
